Google 'Caffeine'

One of Google’s software engineers, Carrie Grimes, said on Tuesday that Google has officially rolled out its much anticipated new search index coined called “Caffeine.”

This new method promises “50% fresher results for web searches” and is the “largest collection of web content [they’ve] offered” to date.

Grimes write in her blog post, that due to the rapidly expanding nature of web content, including videos and images, news and real-time updates, the average web page is richer and more complex. As a result the old way of indexing was no longer effective. Searchers want to find the latest relevant content. and publishers expect to be found the instant they publish. In order to keep up with the evolution of the web and to meet rising user expectations, google developed “Caffeine”.

“Caffeine” is the method of indexing system that analyzes the web in small portions in order to update the search index on a continuous basis globally. That means searchers will find 'fresh' information than ever before – no matter where or when it was published.

The rate at which “Caffeine” indexes web pages is really quite astounding: if this were a pile of paper it would grow three miles tall every second. New information is added at a rate of hundreds of thousands of gigabytes per day.

Many people around the world turn to the internet to search for what they need every day. So with “Caffeine” Google has made their search more effective and more relevant. Website owners(and blogger) hopeful of getting ranked will also need to keep their web content fresh and updated to maintain the attention of their target audience groups and search engine.

Happy searching :)

But with the 'Blender', the 3D software based on open source, this problem can be handled. Production costs can be minimal and even negligible when using software based on open source. Based on open source software could be a solution to reduce production costs.

Although Blender is a free application, but the blender has the ability as a paid application. Blender has a lot of capabilities ranging from 3D modeling, rendering, shading, 3D animation, to 3D game development as a whole.

Make The Quick Launch Toolbar In Windows 7

If you are using the new operating system from Microsoft, Windows 7, you probably have seen the new taskbar. Windows 7 now combines taskbar buttons in a way that saves space, but also makes it more difficult to tell whether an icon represents a running application or a shortcut.
If you’re unhappy with the new taskbar and you want to have the good old Quick Launch Toolbar back, you may to follow these steps below..

The first step is “unlock” the taskbar by right clicking the taskbar --> Properties and clear “Lock the taskbar” followed by “Apply” and click “Ok”.
Ok, now back to the program:
Right-click the taskbar
Choose Toolbars
New Toolbar and type this into the folder box and click Select Folder:%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
You’ll see the Quick Launch toolbar which is probably located at the right side of the toolbar… So all you need to do now is place it next to the “Pined items” and you’re good to go! You may also deleted the pined items, choose to combine the buttons without labels and used big buttons instead of small ones.

Bing update

Search engine has become a very attractive industry. Although many search engine sites on the Internet -such as Yahoo, MSN, Aol- Google remains the most popular and become the market leader. According to market-research firm comScore, Google enjoys more than 65% market share. To be able to compete with google, microsoft launched bing as its search engine. Bing on search market share has captured just over 11% of the market.

Microsoft, in attempt to improve their market share and beat Google's dominant, announced on Tuesday that it will be delivering several updates to its Bing search engine. Microsoft plans to test new Bing designs over the next few months that will move the Quick Tabs pane to the top of the search page. Microsoft thinks that the modification will help users more informed and make faster decisions.

According to their own research, its has shown that 42% of all Bing queries require some refinements for users to find exactly what they're looking for. Currently, Bing offers a "Quick Tabs" pane to the left of results to help users get to content that might in some way relate to their query. Microsoft claims the feature has been popular, but I think it can do better.

One of Bing's core focuses is on real-time data because user wants to obtain data in real time. Currently, the search engine lets users see the latest tweets and Facebook status updates on a particular subject. Bing will also start offering real-time content, such as the most popular shared links from popular sites in the Web. Microsoft said that bing will begin testing better availability of real-time results, in order to get real-time data.

To improve its other feature -Bing Maps-, Microsoft partnered with location-based service Foursquare to create an app for its mapping tool. With this feature, users will be able to see Foursquare data, such as mayorships, badges and check-ins around a particular area.

A few updates to design or functionality probably won't be enough for the company to gain significant ground. I think Google also updates their feature too. So, Microsoft is facing an difficult battle in search engine.
