Be Careful when You Surf on Tuesday

Be careful when you surf on Tuesday. Because, on Tuesday malware occupy the highest volume than other days throughout the week. Meanwhile, on Monday took second place as the most dangerous day to surf.

This was the result of research conducted SonicWALL, a provider of security services, as reported by eWEEK.

The study is the observation SonicWALL throughout 2010. Ed Cohen, vice-president of e-mail security Sonic Wall's mentioned, it is unclear why so Tuesday's favorite day for malware spreaders. Cohen predicted that result from a relationship with the day Microsoft's Patch Tuesday announcement. Every Tuesday, Microsoft usually announces the patches for its products. SonicWALL Researchers also saw the same trends occurred in China, India, Mexico, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, the United States and some European countries.

The amount of malware that is in 2010 also reported increased threefold over the previous year. "PDF-exploits, Java-based exploits are the most common attacks so far this year, " explained Cohen. He also predicted an increase in malware attacks on mobile devices (mobile). Conficker Worm , Zeus Trojan, anti virus fakes, and exploits the Web as Gumbla and Phoenix are the three major malware this year. Conficker is a type of worm that will control from remote or co-opt your computer to be a slave (termed as a zombie) of the creator of this worm. While Zeus is a type of Trojan that will spy on and steal your bank account. Using phishing scams are also becoming a serious problem.

Will Apple make its own processors?

Apple reportedly will design a micro-architecture itself again. Thus, Apple may be more to differentiate its products than other products, especially in terms of performance and capabilities. Apple is currently looking for experienced engineers in the field of the CPU micro-architecture design.

Micro-architecture is the implementation of the basic CPU architecture that already exists. For example, the development of the x86 micro-architecture is AMD Bulldozer and Intel Sandy Bridge. Meanwhile, ARMv5 micro-architecture, for example implemented on the Intel / Marvell Xscale.

The business model used by the ARM architecture even allows a license for basically purchased in several ways. First, purchase a license for the design and layout that has been developed by the licensor. In this way, the buyer receives the chip in one package, because the logic and the chip are purchased together. The second way is to buy the core design. In this way, buyers still have to implement the layout and integrate logic made itself. The third way is to simply buy its architecture alone. For example, Intel's x86 architecture only his license to AMD and Via Technologies.

So, Apple plans that want to design its own micro-architecture indicate that the Cupertino company wants to build its own chip from the bottom. Things that Apple has never done before. Still not clear where the architecture to be adopted by Apple, x86 or PowerPC. Apple itself has not commented on this. So we wait for the truth of this story.
